When travelling to Columbus, you will probably be arriving at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport. It is relatively easy to move from the airport to the conference hotel and location using a car, a taxi, or a public bus.

By Car

The airport features eight on-site car rental agencies located at the baggage claim level. Once on the car:

  • Get on I-670 W/US-62 in Mifflin Township from International Gateway.
  • Continue on I-670 W to Columbus.
  • Take exit 4B from I-670.
  • follow US-23 S/N 3rd St to E State St to arrive at destination.

By Taxi

You’ll find taxis available on demand (no reservation required) in the ground transportation area of the terminal on a 24-hour basis. The electronic meter will be activated to compute your fare from John Glenn International. The approximate fare to the conference hotel and location is around $28, which includes the inital fare, the additional metered fare, the airport fee, and the tip (15%).

By Public Bus

John Glenn International is served by COTA, Columbus’ public transportation system. COTA AirConnect provides direct bus service between John Glenn International and Downtown Columbus, serving downtown hotels and the Greater Columbus Convention Center. AirConnect is $2.75 each way, and ride passes can be purchased with credit/debit cards at the bus stop just to the right of the taxi station. It is easy to arrive at the conference hotel and location with COTA AirConnect. From the baggage claim area:

  • Walk outside and reach the COTA AirConnect bus stop.
  • Once on the bus, it should take around 20 minutes from the airport to arrive at the bus stop near the conference location and hotel.
  • Leave the bus at the bus stop named S 3rd St & E Broad St, walk south on S 3rd St past The Ohio Statehouse (the big white building you will find in front of the bus stop).
  • Cross E State St to arrive at destination.

Alternatively, Routes 52 and 92 also serve John Glenn International, connecting customers to several other bus lines in the system. Once downtown, COTA operates dozens of bus lines throughout central Ohio, including the free CBUS that travels between the Brewery District, Downtown and the Short North.
